The Great North Run
The world famous Great North Run is back on September 11th 2022 and for the first time ever, we have secured 10 charity places in this amazing event!
The Great North Run is the biggest Half Marathon event in the world, with over 60,000 runners participating in this must-do event. Starting in Newcastle upon Tyne, runners pass over the iconic Tyne Bridge (with a flypast by the Red Arrows) and on to the finish line some 13.1 miles later in the coastal town of South Shields.
This is one of the few UK running events to be shown on the BBC, and so gives us an amazing opportunity to highlight our services and the support we can offer.
We’ll be there to support you all the way to the finish line, with participants benefiting from access to a private and supportive Facebook group, a cheer team at the race to encourage and support you, help and advice with training plans and a free technical vest to wear on the day. We will also support you with fundraising advice and resources and cheer you on every step of the way!
To apply to join team M.A., you will need to fill in the short online form below (scroll down to ensure you complete all the questions). Successful applicants will also need to pay an entry contribution of £25 and pledge to raise an additional minimum amount of £325 for the Miscarriage Association. More information about this will be sent to the selected runners once the team has been finalised.
If you are been lucky enough to secure a ballot place for this amazing race and would like to support the M.A., we’d love to hear from you! You’ll get all of the benefits mentioned above, but with no fundraising target to reach. Please contact email@example.com if you’d like more information.
