Our staffed pregnancy loss helpline is available Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. to provide support and information on miscarriage and pregnancy loss.
Outside those hours, our answerphone message will give you the name and contact number of a support volunteer – someone who has also been through pregnancy loss and can offer a listening ear. S/he will be available until 10 p.m..
If you need support at any other time, please contact the Samaritans free 24 hour helpline on 116 123.
Your calls and emails to all these services are completely confidential.
Pregnancy loss phone helpline
You can call us: 01924 200799.
We know that picking up the phone and talking to someone you don’t know can sometimes be a scary experience (see our infographic below).
But we’ll do everything we can to make you feel comfortable, to listen and understand and to answer your questions to the best of our abilities. We can also tell you about your nearest support group or telephone support volunteer.
I just talked & cried & the lovely lady on the phone listened without judging me or getting bored. It really helped.
Pregnancy loss email helpline
You can email us: firstname.lastname@example.org.
You might not feel able to talk on the phone – or perhaps you aren’t able to call during our office hours. We also provide information and offer support via email and aim to reply the same or the next working day.
Your email has helped me make sense of my feelings and to make me feel I am entitled to grieve.
If you need to talk to someone urgently
If you need to talk to someone urgently or after 10 p.m., please remember that you can always call the Samaritans on 116 123.
