Julia Bueno

As well as being a privately-practising psychotherapist and counsellor, I have worked for the NHS, in Higher Education counselling services, and for charitable counselling services, which means I have had the privilege of working with a number of presenting issues with people from many walks of life, and of many ages.
I also supervise therapists, write (with two books published by Virago and another on the way to be published by Bonnier), support academic work, offer training in the potential mental health implications of pregnancy loss, and examine communication skills of senior doctors for the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. I’m on the advisory board of Noon and sit on the Adjudication Panel of the UKCP’s complaints and conduct process.
I run, and practice, mindfulness.
I have a Masters Degree in Integrative Counselling & Psychotherapy (Minster Centre), Diploma in Clinical Supervision (The Grove) and many moons ago I began my professional life teaching, and then practising law as a solicitor. I have a BA Hons Juris (Oxford University), and an LLM (London University). I am a full member of the UKCP.
