Naomi Landau

Naomi Landau, therapist offering miscarriage and baby loss counselling, with experience in trauma and grief

I have many years of experience of working with fertility issues and miscarriage at various stages of pregnancy. Miscarriage is often such an isolating and overwhelming experience, an overlooked and ‘silent’ grief. I provide clients with a compassionate space to explore their individual experiences of their grief and to try to find hope.

I work short term – for 6 or 12 sessions – or I also work longer term for an open-ended period. Miscarriage can sometimes trigger painful experiences of earlier losses, or have an impact on relationships, for example, and working in greater depth can help clients make more sense of their feelings and experiences. I am interested in the impact of miscarriage on men as well as women.

I also work for a charity supporting women and their partners after a stillbirth, neonatal loss or sudden infant death. In addition, I have an interest in trauma and its manifestations both emotionally and physically. I have worked for a number of years for an organisation where many clients have experienced significant trauma which impacts their present lives. I work with clients to help them understand feelings or patterns of behaviour, and also to find ways of managing overwhelming feelings and thoughts so they are able to live life more fully.
