I am a Registered BACP Accredited Counsellor. I work in an integrative, relational way blending different ideas as I work with each individual. I see the professional therapeutic relationship as a transformational thing in itself. I use Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Person-Centred, Attachment Based Psychodynamic Theory and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) in my work.
I specialise in working with trauma, grief in its many forms, including pregnancy and infant loss and with the impact of physical illness.
I aim to provide a compassionate, accepting space for people to explore, understand themself and their relationships more deeply.
I’ve worked as a qualified counsellor since 1995 in the NHS, voluntary & charitable sector and in private practice.
Between June 2016 and March 2025 I worked for The Lullaby Trust supporting families who experienced the sudden and unexpected death of a baby or young child.
I also worked as a bereavement counsellor for Teddy’s Wish between May 2022 – April 2024, Providing short term online counselling to bereaved parents; couples and individuals after SIDS, stillbirth or neonatal death in the early months of their grief, up until 18 months post loss.
I have personal experience of first and early second trimester miscarriage.
