Judith Ellenbogen

I am a psychodynamic psychotherapist with over 20 years experience of working in the NHS and private practice. I have specialist expertise with women and birthing people during pregnancy and postnatally.
I have considerable experience in working with women and couples who have lost a baby through miscarriage, stillbirth, termination and neonatal death. This includes women who have had a previous loss and are pregnant again. I also work with ante-natal and post-natal depression, ambivalence regarding parenthood, fears of giving birth and traumatic birth.
In addition to my specialist interests, I can offer help to people who are dealing with a wide range of issues, such as relationship difficulties, anxiety, depression and bereavement. I work psychodynamically, which means concentrating on understanding and addressing complicated thoughts and feelings. I aim to create a supportive environment in which people can feel safe enough to discuss the issues that are really troubling them. I am experienced in offering therapy to people from a wide range of cultures and backgrounds.
