Support, opening hours and ways to remember this festive season

The festive season can stir up many different emotions, especially when you’re grieving. In a recent Instagram poll, nearly 70% of our community told us that this time of year can feel triggering or more difficult than usual. We’re sharing this because it’s a reminder that there is no single “right” way to feel, and that everyone experiences grief in their own way.

Whether this season brings moments of joy, sadness, overwhelm, or something in between, please try to be gentle with yourself. You’re not alone, and support is here when you need it.

We’ll be here for you throughout December, though our team will be taking a well-earned break on the following dates, when our support line will be closed:

  • Thursday 18 December – closed from 12pm
  • Wednesday 24 December – closed
  • Thursday 25 December – closed
  • Friday 26 December – closed
  • Thursday 1 January – closed

Outside of these times we will be running our regular support hours, and even when our phoneline isn’t open, there are still many ways to find support from us and from our community.

Moments of remembrance this festive season

For some, finding small moments of remembrance can bring comfort at this time of year. You might choose to:

  • Light a candle
  • Place a special ornament on your tree
  • Spend a quiet moment reflecting on your baby or babies

We also have our online Lights of Love tree, where you can add a light and a brief message for a small donation. And if a keepsake feels meaningful for you, our online shop has a range of items — with many currently 30% off when using the code MA30SAVE.

If this season feels heavy, please know that your feelings matter and you don’t have to navigate them alone. Whether you reach out now or in the new year, we’re here for you.
