Barriers to accessing care – new survey

10th January 2022

Many of you will have heard or read about health inequalities in maternity services and how that affects pregnancy outcomes, including rates of miscarriage and stillbirth.

As part of a new Maternity Consortium, fellow charities Sands and Tommy’s have launched a survey to understand the experiences of pregnant women and those who have given birth in accessing maternity services and any barriers they may have faced in getting the care they’re entitled to.

We hope that the survey results will help identify exactly where the problems lie and help reduce those inequalities.

If you are currently pregnant or have been pregnant since January 2019, please do help by completing the survey here. And if you work in pregnancy or maternity care and can help others to complete the survey, that would be really helpful too.

Thank you.
