New updates to the Baby Loss Certificate application process

We welcome the news that the Baby Loss Certificate application process has been improved to make it more inclusive for people applying after multiple losses.

As of 26 June, the process now includes:

  • Clear identification of whether the loss was from a single, twin, or triplet pregnancy.
  • Applications now cover losses from separate pregnancies, where previously a separate application was needed for each loss.

The application process is then tailored to your response, making the process more appropriate to your circumstances.

These changes are an important step in ensuring that every little life lost too soon can be formally recognised, in the most sensitive and efficient way possible.
