Today (10 July), the Miscarriage Association is proud to announce new ways for people to access our support, as part of our ongoing commitment to removing barriers and making it easier for anyone affected by pregnancy loss to get the help they need.

From this week, the charity is introducing a new, national support phone number – 0303 003 6464 – alongside two major new services: SignLive, enabling deaf British Sign Language (BSL) users to connect via a live interpreter, and Clear Voice, providing professional telephone interpretation in over 250 languages.

Vicki Robinson, Chief Executive of the Miscarriage Association, said:

“Pregnancy loss can be incredibly isolating, and language or communication barriers can make that even harder. These new services are a vital step in making our support more accessible, inclusive, and easier to reach for those who need us.”

Through a new partnership with SignLive, Deaf BSL users can now contact the Miscarriage Association’s support team via a live, qualified British Sign Language interpreter. The service is secure, confidential, and easy to use, with the option to connect on demand. All interpreters are registered with NRCPD, and users can access the service through the SignLive app or website by searching for the Miscarriage Association in the community directory.

The Miscarriage Association is also launching a new telephone interpretation service in partnership with Clear Voice, ensuring that people can receive support that meets their language needs. The service provides access to interpreters in over 250 languages and dialects, all of whom are qualified, DBS-checked, and experienced in handling sensitive conversations.

If anyone calls the old support number, there’s no need to worry as calls will be automatically redirected to the new national line, ensuring no interruption in support.

Whether someone has experienced a miscarriage, ectopic or molar pregnancy, or is supporting someone who has, the Miscarriage Association is committed to offering compassionate, inclusive support, regardless of language or communication needs.
