Fertility Fest 2019

18th April 2019

Fertility Fest is an arts festival dedicated to ‘fertility and infertility, the science of making babies and modern families’, running from 23 April – 12 May at the Barbican in London.

We particularly want to highlight the session on miscarriage, taking place on Monday 29 April from 7-9pm, and produced in association with our charity.

Chaired by Kate Brian, Women’s Voices Lead at the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, it will include talks from two artists we know well.

The first is psychotherapist and M.A. volunteer Julia Bueno, whose new book ‘The Brink Being’ is out soon.

The second is visual artist (and marathon runner) Foz Foster, who created a massive scroll painting charting the imagined lives of his three miscarried children.

Theatre company Open Sky will also be presenting a scene from their new show ‘Cold’ – a story of a pregnancy that doesn’t go to plan.

After the performance the artists will be joined on stage for a Q&A involving our National Director Ruth.
