Thankyou for your interest in setting up/helping to run a support group for The Miscarriage Association.
We aim to offer people who have experienced pregnancy loss the opportunity to meet with others to offer and receive support and friendship. Most support groups meet once a month and attendance is open. Some people will come once or twice, while others attend for many months or even years, with some taking on roles of responsibility in the group.
If there is no support group in your area, you might like to set one up, perhaps with another of our members or local contacts. If there is already a support group, they may be very grateful for your help in running it.
If you would like to know more, one of the best ways of finding out more is to attend one of our Introductory Days on Volunteering. You can also contact The Miscarriage Association and we will send you our detailed Support Group Guidelines, which will help you decide if you would like to volunteer in this way.
